We have the same problem with every Texan city we profile: how do we pick a favorite city? It's pretty much impossible to even rank them but if we did, San Antonio would rank fairly high on the list. San Antonio is actually fairly young as a US city. This is because for a long time, much of Texas was not part of the United States. There is a rich native and Spanish history in Texas but we will focus on the American history. San Antonio became an official US city in 1718 and it was then that it became a popular settlement for travellers and cowboys. Many bars and saloons were built and they were known as rowdy places for having sex and hooking up.
San Antonio is a bit more traditional, like many of the other US cities we have profiled. And all that means is that the best nights to go out are Fridays and Saturdays, followed by Thursdays. And while you can definitely find a great bar on a Tuesday or Monday, the nightclubs will be a bit on the quiet side.
